BioGeez, it's been a while since I've updated this page. I read my old Bio and cringed. "I can't believe I actually wrote 'lol' that many times. And what in God's name is MxPx?" Well, I thought I'd edit a few things, just in case anyone ever reads these.
Call me Chalkey, Chuck, Charles, or whatever tickles your fancy. Generally, people whom I've known my whole life tend to call me Chalkey as it is a family nickname. With that in mind, I usually introduce myself as Chalkey these days, to create a greater sense of intimacy in other areas of my life- or at least try to...
I was born in Seoul, South Korea. I never knew my actual parents, sadly. A while back I was trying to track them down, and I found some cool stuff. I got this sheet from the adoption agency I was raised at, and it says all sorts of things about my personality as a baby. The funniest ones were "likes cuddling" and "has a big appetite" - both of which are still true. Most asian stereotypes betray me; I can't fight, I can't do math, I can't use computers, I can drive a car, and I can't use chopsticks. Take that, pop culture's expectations.
Hobbies... ultimate frisbee, pretending I know how to play guitar, and of course running. I do cross country and track for Wooster, for which the coach has my condolences. I'm generally up for new things. In fact, a friend of mine is trying to convert me into a Wizard Rock fan,so we'll see how that goes. How Airplanes Fly though... gotta hand it to them. They're good. and it's working.
My family... oh man this one would take a while. I think I'll omit a few *certain* details about my family, but you might find out some of the dynamics by reading my journal. I have a dad, mom, stepdad, sister, and two dogs. They tend to do nothing but eat, bark at everything, and sleep- oh yes, sleep. As for my dogs, they do the same.
If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be Chalkey. No other word can possibly describe a cross country running, philosophizing, pokemon playing asian who can't even use chopsticks.
And that pretty much sums me up in a nutshell. Woot woot, eh?
